Austrochip is an annual meeting and platform to present the latest activities in the field of microelectronics and integrated circuits in Austria and neighboring countries. The workshop is a forum for discussion and contact between academia and industry. Austrochip 2021 is the 29th edition organized by the Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIC) of Johannes Kepler University Linz.
Keynote and Tutorial
For Austrochip 2021, we invited two distinguished people to give insights into hot topics in the area of IC design:
Gerhard Kahmen from IHP (Leibniz Institute for high performance Microelectronics) and BTU (Brandenburg University of Technology), will give a keynote address about complementing CMOS with orthogonal technologies like BiCMOS, Si-photonics and RRAM.
Matthew Venn from YosysHQ GmbH will provide us with an insight into the state of open source EDA tools and then give a tutorial on how to actually build a demonstration chip.
