Vienna University of Technology is situated in the 4th Viennese district next to St. Charls church and only 10 minutes walk from world famous city center. St. Stephens Dome, the opera as well as the shopping streets Kärtnerstraße and Graben and last but not least the imperial buildings of the Habsburgs like the Hofburg are some of the major parts of the city center, the first district of Vienna. Some of the most famous art galleries, e.g. Albertina, Belvedere where Gustav Klimt’s legendary painting “The Kiss” can be seen, as well as MuseumsQuartier where the Leopold Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Arts are situated, are also located around first district.
